When we launched the original Atom Core, the brief was straightforward: build the sharpest, most driveable van-based motorhome in the sub-6-metre class. Two generations on, that brief has grown considerably more demanding and so has the Core G.

The “G” designation isn’t arbitrary. It marks a generational step: a new long-wheelbase Citroën Relay base, a complete interior rethink by our in-house team in Beverley, and for the first time on a Core model – a factory-fitted solar and lithium package as standard.

The move to the next-gen Relay platform adds 130mm of wheelbase without meaningfully affecting overall length. In practice that’s recovered as usable lounge depth – the rear drop-down bed now sits entirely clear of the cab bulkhead, so you’re not climbing over the swivel base when the bed is deployed.

GVW moves to 3,500 kg across the range as standard, with an optional 3,850 kg plated variant for those who need the payload headroom. For a couple travelling with bikes, kayaks, or the full kit, that margin is the difference between planning a trip and compromising one.
